This student was placed into one of her top choices right away, into a second several rounds later when space opened up in her first choice because other students were placed into second-choice courses (this student's second choice for that course was already full), and into her first alternate for her third course after several rounds of trying to get her into either her first- or second-choice course. The fact that this student was placed into her first course before her second course, in which she was placed before her third course, is coincidence.
