Most Study Abroad information below refers to long- and extended-term programs, unless stated otherwise.

All Fall

  • Resume and cover letter workshops every Thursday evening.

September

  • Identify your Study Abroad options.
  • Read SA program descriptions.
  • Visit the CIP.

October

  • Oaxaca winter short-term program applications DUE 10/3.
  • Attend MAJOR decision and career workshops.
  • Talk to faculty and students about majors you are considering. Don't forget the Departmental Student Advisor (DSA) fair!
  • Research major requirements.
  • Talk to advisor about majors you are considering before registration for winter.
  • Talk to international students & returnees.
  • Check SA acad. programs & talk to advisor.
  • Narrow Study Abroad options to three before SA interest forms are due (11/3).

November

  • Learn more about local culture of SA sites: Read papers, watch SCOLA, mine the web.
  • Choose top Study Abroad option.
  • Ask faculty if they are willing to provide SA recommendations (which are due 1/15).
  • Spring short-term SA program applications DUE 11/17.

December

  • Fill out application.
  • Apply for passport.
  • Find out emergency contact #'s.
  • Long-term and extended-term SA program applications DUE 1/15.
