Read Section 6.1 on how sound is encoded.

- Read Section 6.2.1 (pp. 145 - 148).
- Read the second half of section 6.2.2 - Using the JES Media
Tools (bottom of p. 149 - p. 151).
- Read Section 6.2.3 (pp. 151 - 154).
- Problem Set:
Work through the exercises that they do in the reading.
Week 6: Thursday
- Reading assignment:
- Read Sections 6.3 and 6.4 (pp. 154 - 164).
- Read Chapter 7 (pp. 167-177).
- Lab Entrance Assignment:
Type in Recipes 53 (changeVolume), 54
(normalize), 55 (onlymaximize), 57
(increaseAndDecrease), and 60 (backwards).
Save them
in a file called Lab6.py. Remember to add appropriate comments
at the beginning of the file with your name, today's date, and program
description.
Week 6: Friday
- Reading assignment:
- Finish reading any other parts of Chapters 6 and 7 that you
have not yet read.
